An eating disorder is a
psychiatric illness because it is due to distorted perception and impaired physical condition.

It is NOT
psychosomatic (contrary to popular belief) because it is real to the sufferer.

The saddest and cruelest aspect of eating disorders is that they, most often than not,
overlap in one individual; that is, an individual may at the same time be anorexic, bulimic, binge addictive, and even exercise compulsive.

The causes of eating disorders are complex, and the road to recovery is long and winding. The good news is that there is light at the end of the tunnel.

This site will shed some light on coping with and overcoming eating disorders and food cravings.

Eating disorders, a combination of complex psychological and physiological illnesses, often appear in many forms, such as
anorexia, bulimia, binge eating, and abnormal food addiction.
